Then apply the required amount of gel toothpaste. Though it is not must you apply paste when brushing using a Sonicare toothbrush, it is recommended that you apply the gel toothpaste.

This is because most electronic toothbrushes work well with gel paste. Typically, you don’t require a high amount of the paste because the sonic toothbrush heads are relatively smaller and the brush itself is capable of automatically distributing toothpaste evenly in the bristles.

You will actually realize that you only need to apply nearly half the amount of toothpaste you usually use on regular toothbrushes.

Choose the brushing setting that you are more okay with. Sonicare toothbrushes are designed with different settings and modes to allow you customize your brushing.

You can either set longtime brushing or short time brushing. Place the toothbrush in your mouth while it is still off. close your mouth before turning the brush on. Don’t turn the toothbrush on while it is still outside your mouth as this will spill away all the toothpaste you applied.

Turn on the power button to switch the toothbrush on. You can select your personal brushing style by continuously pressing the power button till you reach the style you require. Now, move the toothbrush gently over your tongue, teeth, and gums and allow it to do the cleaning process for you.

In case you have braces, position the brush above them at an angle between your gums and teeth. Then slowly roll the brush edge in a circular motion between the braces. Unlike other regular toothbrushes, you don’t need to manually scrub your teeth while using Sonicare toothbrush.

This is because it is designed with its own inherent brushing action. All you need to do is to place the bristles where they are supposed to be. Move the brush in a slight rocking motion so as to get its head around your teeth. You can do this by making several pauses for a second or two between the rocking motions.

Always ensure you keep the bristles at an angle of approximately 45 degrees.

Lastly, switch the brush off before you remove it from your mouth. Spit the toothpaste and rinse your mouth thoroughly using clean water. Then clean the toothbrush head in running water until it is perfectly rinsed.

You should not leave any toothpaste particles in the brush
